Joseph Emmanuel Ruiz was invited speaker in an entrepreneurship seminar with the theme “Goal-Oriented Entrepreneurs: Exemplars to the Youth” to the senior students of University Science High School organized by Albert Nuñez and Florence Sally Ann Carganilla on October 18, 2006 at the USHS Audio Visual Room.

Mr. Ruiz, USHS alumnus, discussed about the traits of entrepreneurs, tips on how to start a business, and the development of their corporation, ERL Family Corp.

“It’s a good start to hold a seminar like that. We are inspiring high school students to go to business and widening the horizon of the students because life is complex like business.” Mrs. Gella Patria Abella said.

The seminar aimed to inspire the students to earn more in a decent way, not to let them be contented in being private or government employees, to inspire the students to go into business, and to make the students become socially responsible to help improve the Philippine economy.
