University Science High School once again proved to be a home of brainy students as Adrian H. Bajador, Class Valedictorian 2003, placed 8th in the CPABoard Exams and graduated Magna cum laude, Business Administration and Accountancy, at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Quezon City on April 27, 2008.
Mr. Bajador was a University and College Scholar for five semesters and a UP Presidential Scholar for eight semesters.
During his stay at UP-Diliman, he attended and joined various seminars and contests in which he reaped numerous awards.
He was chosen one of the 10 finalists in the Ayala Young Leaders’ Congress and was the campus’ lone delegate to the congress after four years.
He was given the P & G’s Student Excellence Award at the Peninsula Hotel, Makati City, on March 2, 2007. He defeated 50 speakers at the Alltel Case Presentation during the accounting seminar for students and extra-curricular training at Las Palmas Hotel, Manila.
Other awards he obtained were: 1st Runner-up, Intercollegiate Finance Competition (ICFC); 1st Runner-up, Theory of Accounts, Search for Accounting Wizard (Level 3, NCR Cup); 1st Runner-up, PRTC Olympiad; Best Team, Ateneo Intercollegiate Marketing Seminar (AIMS); and Best Team, Globe Young Leaders’ Conference (Globe Bizcon).
His college years have no big difference with his stay at the USHS.
He was the Editor-in-Chief (2002-2003), Associate Editor (2001-2002), Associate Sports Editor (2000-2001), and Reporter (1999-2000) of The Researcher and a staffer of State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Region III (SCUAA III 2002).
He copped the championship for USHS in the Tagisan ng Talino ng Kulturang Pamana (National 2001), Zonal Biology Quiz Bee (Region I, II, III, CAR, 2000), Regional Inter-school Quiz Bee (Regional, 2001, 2002), Tagisan ng Talino (Provincial, 2001, 2002), Utaknayan (Provincial, 2001, 2002), and Brain Challenge (Provincial 2003).]
As a USHS student, he was the best among the honor graduates and also a great lecturer and reporter in his second year.
