Mr. Randolf Warren Gregorio T. Mayo II, USHS Assistant Principal, and Engr. Christopher M. Tabago, USHS Network Administrator, attended the Technology Planning Workshop sponsored by Foundation for Information Technology Education and Development (FIT-ED) held at the University Hotel, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City on April 24-25, 2006.

In cooperation with the World Links-Philippines, the workshop provided 16 hours educating the participants of the basic knowledge and tools to develop an organization-wide technology plan.
This nationwide seminar aimed to introduce and discuss technology planning as a key component of successful technology integration in schools and educational institutions.

The use of information and communication technologies or ICT was also encouraged by the workshop.
Meanwhile, Ms. Mercedita C. Morales and Mrs. Gella Patria L. Abella, served as representatives of the University Science High School in the follow-up seminar-workshop on May 8-12, 2006 titled, “Web Enhanced Learning Activities: An Instructional Design Workshop.
The teachers were trained on teaching with the web using Online Treasure Hunt and Web Quest.

Since the two teachers who attended are expected to conduct an echo seminar-workshop to their fellow teachers. The USHS set the said echo seminar on November 2-3, 2006.
